Joining the Choir
The Olympia Peace Choir meets on Monday evenings at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Boulevard Road in Olympia from 7:00-9:00 p.m. We welcome everyone who hopes to sing in community, regardless of musical training or background. If you are interested in learning more about us, please consider attending our workshops on August 10 and August 17th and plan to attend our two orientation rehearsals: Monday, Sept. 14th at 7pm, and Monday, Sept. 21st at 7pm. The orientation rehearsals –free and open to all — are required for all potential choir members, both new and returning.
If you decide to join our choir, you must submit a membership application between Sept. 14th and 22nd, and, if accepted, pay choir dues (see information about dues below). Dues cover music rights and recordings and contribute to the cost of rehearsal space, performance spaces, director’s and accompanist’s stipends, and the many other expenses involved in maintaining a choral group.

We have a tiered dues structure. Please choose the dues amount that works for you.
Budget-Enhancing dues: $420
Budget-Sustaining Dues: $360
Budget-Supporting Dues: $320
Scholarship Dues: $180
Payment plans and scholarships are available.
Minimum payment plan downpayment: $80
Minimum scholarship payment: $80
We are committed to making the choir accessible to everyone regardless of their ability to pay. If these costs would create a financial hardship, please contact our treasurer at treasurer@theolympiapeacechoir.org.
In September, after you complete your membership application, you will receive an email with information about our registration process. If we have space in the choir for you, we will send you a link to log into Chorus Connection, our choir management platform. There, you can pay in full, set up a payment plan, or apply for a scholarship.
Although we encourage using Chorus Connection’s payment portal, we will also send information about how to pay by check.

We make every effort to accept everyone, BUT:
This 2026-27 season we are capping our membership at 110 in order to be able to fit into the venues available to us.
Priority will be given to all returning members, including those who have taken a hiatus. We also have a process for accepting new members:
(1) our director will make selections based on the need to balance the vocal sections;
(2) if we have more new member applications than we have places, membership will be decided by lottery;
(3) anyone who is not admitted but wishes to stay in consideration will be added to a wait list and will be notified as space becomes available.
